LASU Law shines in National Moot Court competition

This win comes on the heels of LASU Law's recent triumph in May 2024, where they emerged first among 52 participating Universities at a Moot Court competition held at Redeemers University, Ede, Osun State.

THE Lagos State University Faculty of Law has secured its position as a powerhouse in legal education, as its students emerged victorious in the prestigious Moot Court competition.

The event, held at Olabisi Onabanjo University's Dr Olusegun Law Resource Centre, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State, saw LASU's team outshine participants from 12 other Universities across six geographical zones.

David Akinwunmi, Johnson Ogundein, and Adeyemi Soffiyah, the triumphant students, demonstrated exceptional legal skills, arguing a complex case on Copyright and Patents Infringement. This achievement marks LASU's fourth consecutive win in inter-varsity Moot Court competitions this academic session, solidifying its reputation as a hub for legal excellence.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, and the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Kareem Olatoye, have congratulated the students on their outstanding achievement, reinforcing LASU's position as the premier University for legal studies in Nigeria.
