RENOWNED Nigerian artist, Onyeka Onwenu, has passed away after collapsing at an event in Lagos on Tuesday, July 30.
According to eyewitnesses, Onwenu had just finished performing on stage at a birthday celebration when she fell ill and was rushed to Reddington Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. "She was still sitting in her seat when she suddenly slumped and fell to the ground," said an eyewitness.
Onwenu's death has sent shockwaves through the music industry, with many paying tribute to her remarkable 40-year career.
