CONTROVERSIAL social media personality Verydarkman has boldly refused to testify before a panel due to the absence of crossdresser Bobrisky, who was allegedly implicated in his testimony.
Verydarkman had previously claimed that EFCC officers and the Nigerian Correctional Services demanded N15 million from Bobrisky to serve his prison term in a VIP section of the Kirikiri Medium Custodial Centre, Lagos.
On September 30, 2024, Verydarkman appeared before the panel to substantiate his allegations but declined to answer questions upon realising Bobrisky was not present. A viral video captured his adamant refusal to speak up.
"I don't know why I will be here and the person who made these allegations is not here. In the voice note, Bobrisky said something about a godfather; maybe the godfather told him not to come and nothing would happen. He has disrespected this committee by not coming here and you are trying to force me to talk," Verydarkman stated.
Verydarkman remained resolute, despite the panel's threats of arrest and detention. "You are already threatening me with arrest, that you will detain me, I will stay in the cell; it's not my first or second time. I will stay there till he is ready to talk. If Bobrisky is not here, for now, I will not say anything, if I say anything, let me die," he added.
The panel's attendees responded with confusion and murmurs upon hearing Verydarkman's declaration. This development follows Verydarkman's release of an audio tape on September 24, 2024, where Bobrisky alleged that EFCC officers collected N15 million from him to drop money laundering charges. Verydarkman's stance confirms the complexities surrounding the case, with both parties making serious allegations against each other.
