NIGERIAN actress, Toyin Abraham has spoken out to clarify her involvement in the recent political campaign and election season.
In an interview with media personality, Daddy Freeze, Abraham stated, "I didn't campaign and I didn't ask anyone to vote. I think the problem is because maybe I'm too open and too plain. I shouldn't have said anything."
She expressed her desire to be honest with her fans, whom she considers family, but has learned that sometimes it's better to keep her opinions to herself.
Abraham faced backlash on social media for her public support of President Tinubu, with many holding her accountable for his performance. However, she has declined to comment on his one-year performance, saying "I don't want to talk about politics. I am not a politician."
Despite the criticism, Abraham remains committed to her craft and her fans, promising to focus on her work and avoid further political discussions.
"I promise after today this is the last time I'm going to talk about it. If anyone wants to say anything, let them say," Abraham said. With this statement, she hopes to put the controversy behind her and move forward with her career.
