WIZKID'S Made in Lagos album has, again, broken another music record after spending 100 weeks on the billboard world album charts.
The Made in Lagos album has become the first African album to have a run of 100 weeks on the billboard world album chart after it was still in the chart week dated October 15, 2022.
The album, at this point in time, has gotten to Number One on the Billboard World Album Chart, spending three weeks atop the chart as it became the first ever Nigerian album to spend multiple weeks at number one.
During this period, it also became the longest-charting Nigerian project in the chart's history topping 'The Black President' by Fela which spent 45 weeks on the chart.
This is coming one week after Wizkid’s “Essence” and “Essence” (remix) were recognized with Pop Awards at the 2022 BMI London Awards among the Most-Performed Songs of the Year making him the African artist with the most BMI (5).
