NOLLYWOOD actress, Lizzy Anjorin has finally broken her silence on the allegations of stealing gold worth ₦91,000 from a market in February 2024.
In an interview with Timi Agbaje, Anjorin vehemently denied the accusations, stating, "I am not a thief, I will never be a thief. I am too straightforward and too disciplined to become a thief."
Anjorin expressed frustration at the notion that she would steal something as small as a gram of gold, equivalent to less than a grain of rice.
"How can you go into the market to steal something less than a grain of rice, a single rice?" she questioned. As a certified jewellery seller and fabric merchant, Anjorin emphasised that she does not need to stoop to theft.
The actress had previously been accused of shoplifting after a viral video showed her trying to avoid being recorded in a shop. However, Anjorin claimed she was framed by someone she called "Shekpeteri."
