NOLLYWOOD actress, Ini Dima-Okojie has taken to social media to share her journey of shrinking her fibroids through a holistic approach.
In a video posted on TikTok, she revealed that she has given up bread, meat, and other foods that can exacerbate the growth of fibroids.
"I'm on a holistic journey to shrink my fibroids... I have to go on a special fibroid diet and these are some of the things I had to give up," she explained.
Okojie listed the foods she has removed from her diet, including red meat, white carbs like pasta and rice, dairy products, refined sugar, processed foods, carbonated drinks, and caffeine.
She emphasised that these foods are high in estrogen, which can contribute to the growth of fibroids.
"I am avoiding these things because they are high in estrogen and these things can make the fibroids grow," she said.
This decision comes after Okojie announced that her fibroids had returned three years after undergoing surgery to remove them. She has expressed her determination to avoid surgery again and instead focus on a holistic approach to manage her condition.
