NIGERIAN music sensation, Davido, the latest groom in town, has assured his wife, Chioma's parents that she will always be protected, respected, and connected.
A heartwarming video on Instagram captured the moment Davido prostrated before his bride's parents during their traditional wedding in Lagos State on June 25, 2024.
When the event compere asked him to beg for Chioma's hand in marriage, Davido replied, "I have only two words, lifetime assurance."
He then added, "I promise you that your daughter will be protected, respected, and connected. Mummy, Daddy, I love you. Everybody knows that I'm happy for this day, and this is the happiest day of my life."
The crowd erupted in cheers as Davido made his promise, and again when he got to his feet. The lavish wedding ceremony, attended by celebrities, dignitaries, and political figures, including former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo, is set to be one of the most talked-about events of the year.
