GRAMMY Award winner, Burna Boy, and multiple award-winning female artists, Teniola, have picked up the Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) Award.
The MON award, which was presented by President Muhammadu Buhari, was given out to 75 individuals out of over 400 nominees.
Burna Boy's award which was received on his behalf by his father was presented in recognition of his groundbreaking exploits such as becoming the first Nigerian contemporary artist to win the Grammy Award.
On her part, Teni was also awarded for her role in the music industry and her contribution to taking Nigerian music to the next level.
2Baba, Fuji legend Kwam 1, and media mogul Mo Abudu, were also awarded at the Government House Villa in Aso Rock on October 11, 2022.
